Cul2vate and Church of the City

We are excited to also be embarking on a farming endeavor with Church of the City! They have acquired land and are renovating a home to be utilized for aged-out foster children. On the plots of that land are Cul2vate vegetables and fruit! It certainly takes a village to make this work, and we are grateful for Church of the City’s commitment to helping the local community.

You probably remember seeing pictures of Jackie at the recent Cul2vate Graduation. Using the training and experience he gained from the Cul2vate main campus located at the Ellington Agricultural Center, Jackie is been spearheading this project. His enthusiasm and work ethic are contagious! It is so encouraging to hear him speak about “his” farm and how far it has come from planning to inception. He says, “I wasn’t sure we could make this work, but we did. I’m so proud of my farm!”

It is exciting to see how God is moving through Cul2vate and Church of the City. This plot of land will help to feed more hungry people right here in the Nashville area.
