Why Do We Feed The Hungry Together?

We miss having you on the farm!

Cul2vate and Cul2vate champions believe that Jesus gives us specific guidance in Matthew 25:35 “I was hungry and you fed me.”

In this passage, Jesus explains that whenever we feed the hungry, give something to drink to the thirsty, visit those in prison, clothe the naked, and care for the ill, we are doing these things unto Jesus. When any of us serve those in need, we are performing acts to built the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Right now, in this tumultuous climate, there are even more people to whom we should listen about their immediate needs. More people will be physically and spiritually hungry over the next several months as we navigate this virus and the after effects. We pledge to continue to keep focused on growing food to support those in need.

Right now it is imperative that our neighbors keep being fed spiritually and physically. We invite you to join us as we work hard to feed the hungry during these trying times. We will adapt and adjust along the way – just like you are doing at home and in your own work!

You can feed the hungry with us during #GivingTuesday and #TheBigPayback this week! Consider a gift at www.thebigpayback.org/cul2vate or even text “Give $50” or “Give $25 monthly” to (615) 551-4847!

We would love to hear from you, too! Know you are already in our prayers. How are you are feeding the hungry from home? Are you visiting a neighbor who needs help? Supporting a friend or loved one during this time? Writing notes to people feeling isolated? All of these deeds and more you are purposefully enacting you do unto Jesus! Let us know how we can pray for you and how you are feeding the hungry by emailing us at info@cul2vate.org.

May you feel the peace and understanding of God’s presence now and always.
