Abby Gant

Abby Gant is Cul2vate’s Volunteer Coordinator and Flower expert. She officially became an employee of Cul2vate in the spring of 2022, but Abby has been working with Cul2vate as a volunteer since 2016! She was raised in Baltimore, MD and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia.

After moving to Nashville in 2011, she began work as an ICU nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center. It was while caring for the critically ill that she happened upon Cul2vate and felt a connection to the mission of Growing Food and Growing People. While still working as a nurse, she started volunteering on the farm. She has a deep-rooted passion for working in the dirt, but her heart was truly blessed by how she felt seen and invested in as a person while volunteering on the farm. During the time spent in 10 years of ICU nursing, Abby and her husband, Ryan welcomed two sons.

In 2022, with the support of her husband, she transitioned from nursing to work at Cul2vate. She is blessed each day by the stories of her teammates and Cul2vators, and she looks forward to what God has in store for her!
