Totally Committed

Our Cul2vate family has seen God work miraculously over the last year as we have tried to obediently follow Him.  There have been countless  miracles that we’ve witnessed as we have walked this our 2016 journey together!  

In my quiet time this morning, I was in 2 Chronicles 16.  My Summary…..King Asa and the Israelites had “bound themselves to a covenant to seek God wholeheartedly, holding nothing back.”  For 35 years they did this and God’s word says, “they experienced peace on all sides.”

In year 36, war began to brew and King Asa “took from the treasuries of the temple of God and made a deal with Ben-Hadad, King of Aram” for protection.  This plan seemed to work temporarily but soon, Hanani the seer, came to King Asa with the following message:

“Because you went for help from the King of Aram and didn’t ask God for help, you’ve lost the victory.  God is always alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to Him.”  (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 MSG) 

Our prayer as we move into 2017, is that we’d continue to remember that in all seasons of this ministry, we are to be “totally committed to Him.”  That means we are to pray more fervently, fast more frequently, and live more passionately the convictions He has placed within us!

We are extremely excited about what we see on the horizon of 2017 and we are beyond grateful to all who have helped us get this far!!  May God richly bless you as you continue to “live out” His calling on your life!
