David Ward spent 38 years in the national banking industry and managed a bank consulting firm, which he founded. During his career he managed large national sales organizations, risk management, operations, and capital markets trading. During his career he served on Advisory Boards for Junior Achievement, FNMA, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He also chaired the US League of Saving Secondary and Capital Markets Committee.
In 2014, he retired and began pursuing his passion for Landscape painting and involvement in nonprofit endeavors. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Sweet Sleep, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing beds for orphaned and abandoned children in Moldova, Uganda, South Africa and Haiti. He has been involved with several food related operations serving the underserved families of Middle Tennessee.
David began his involvement with Joey Lankford, and ultimately Cul2vate, in South Africa in 2011. He has seen the dreams of helping solve the problems of food insecurities in our communities become reality.
David received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing. from Western Kentucky University. He currently resides in Brentwood TN with his wife Debbie, and enjoys time with his two daughters and son-in-laws and six grandchildren.
